If you are thinking about buying a Valkyrie and have been wondering what others think, here are a few remarks cut from the Valkyrie boards.

As a former Harley rider I can only say that the valk is the most outstanding bike I have ridden. I have ridden both the Roadglide and the Road King, and IMHO both bikes pale in comparison. The Valk has more power (feels almost like a sportbike with a very flat power curve, pulls all the way through the throttle), will last longer, has more American parts than the Harley, is several thousand dollars cheaper than the Harley, and is not a Harley clone.

I have gotten more comments and stares with the Valk in the past 3 months than I did in 4 years of riding my Harley.

I can't say enough about this bike. It's so composed and although it's heavy I feel in total control.

At the end even my cynical Brit friend, who eschews all but sportbikes, declared, "It's perfect. It has plenty of power, it's highly maneuverable, and it's so easy to ride."

This is my 8th bike and by far the best

I love this bike! Never had any machine quite like it. I have a smile so big the corners of my mouth actually touched each other in the back of my head.

If one could take the best of all different types of motorcycles, cruisers - tourers - customs - sportbikes, etc. Put them all in a bag, shake it up and then open it, a Valkyrie would emerge.

Within ten minutes of leaving the dealership I knew it was right.

The Valk is by far the best over all bike I have ever ridden...I like the looks(all that chrome!!) I absolutely love the power and handling.

Ride the Valk...you'll find out what a sweet ride she is!!

BTW, Valkyrie is 82% American made, says Made In USA, while H-D Heritage Softail is 72% American made, can't say Made In USA.

well i took the plunge and bought me a valk today i love it wish i hadnt waited so long

I did buy a new 98' and it's been the best purchase this decade. Two new lexus, new home, no comparison, This one for me.

The Valk, if it wore a Harley badge would be at least 8 grand more than it is. Anyone want to buy a Harley?

I bought my VALK. in JULY of 96 and is still by far the best bike I have ever owned.

She's nimble as a butterfly in the twisties and like a dragster when she comes out.

I'm a fickle man when it comes to motorcycles and mostly I've owned and loved sport bikes. But this is by far the best bike I've ever owned and it's a keeper.

I traded my 92 Wing for A Valk. and have never looked back..The Valkyrie in my opinion is the best bike I have ever riden...

You now own the Rolls Royce of crusiers!

Hit 30,000 on my Valkyrie this weekend. 17 months old and still loving the bike - just wish I didn't have to work so much or I'd really get some miles on it.

I love the way the bike looks & sounds.

Would you rather have a Buick or a Porsche? It's as simple as that. I had a Wing and one test ride on a Valk was all it took.

Fast enough to thrill, handles well enough to please. 85 mph cruise all day long.

3 Black Valks for 3 Brothers! We purchased 3 of them...all black all tourers...Since then added about $1500 worth of accessories! Best addition Center Stand. Since our bikes were identical, we had to personalize them. We all agree...best bike we ever owned.

My last bike was a BMW K1100LTA. Great bike but the Valk's the best.

Even the Harley riders walk around her and say (D**N that's a big bike).

Been a rider since my early teens and owned numerous machines, none compare to the Valk though

have been on a Red/White tourer for 11 months now. 23,500 miles in the first 11 months (while working 50-60 hour weeks), I think that speaks wonders for the bike. It's hard to get off of that damn thing!

At Vintage Motorcycle Days last week in Mansfield I did demo rides on a Royal Star, a Nomad, a Fatboy, a Sportster, a Buell Lightning, a Triumph Trophy, and the BMW cruiser and I found that the more I rode other bikes, the more I liked my Valkyrie.

It has proven to be a great machine and it will be my last bike, I hope.

The Valk outshines evreything on the planet. But, of course, we knew that.

Bought mine about 6 months ago, awesome in the canyons and mountains.

I will probably ride my fat lady forever

The Valk is like sex. once you've rode it, you don't want to get off it.

it's the Biggest Baddest Bestest Cruiser on the Block!

My Blue/Ivory Valk is a keeper - the most delightful bike I've yet owned.

Bought my Valkyrie after looking at a lot of other bikes, convinced its the best there is, still think so

I have ridden two harleys and a wing since getting this bike and all I wanted to do was get back on my valk

It feels like it was custom made for me and is "all the bike that I will ever need". I am convinced that it is the best bike built.

Purchased May 96' about to turn 31k miles. Still puts a smile on my face everytime!

What a fabulous motorcycle this beauty is.

the crotch rockets I ride with some times have a hard time keeping up.

The biggest problem I have with her is Harleys. Once the lady sniffs one ahead of her, I can't control her.

The 'Kyrie is a funny combination in some ways - part custom cruiser, part big tourer and part sport bike - but there's no part that isn't a motorcycle.

I park my bike next to many harley bikes and their is always a crowd of people looking at my bike. Go figure!!

After looking around for the last three months I finally did it. Bought the valk. Man - it is the ride I've been looking for.

each time I straddle her (the bike....), I get this goofy grin that won't stop until that evening.

the damn machine put some kind of spell on me

I've been home 24 hours now and my tires are still smoke'n and all I have left of my air wings are the brackets

The thing costs 25 cents to start but I wouldn't trade that puppy for anything else on two wheels

What an awesome, awesome bike! The bike is even better than what I heard. The size of the bike (which always worried me) simply goes away once the bike is at speed. What an engine, what great looks, what a comfortable ride! Why don't you see more of these out there?

. I've owned 20 or so bikes in the last 30 years Triumphs, Nortons, 3 Bmw's and various Japanese bikes and I got to say the Valkyrie is one of my favorites.

I took a ride on one at Americade and have since been unable to think of much else.

I made the HD to Valk switch just a few weeks ago after reading about this awesome machine for two years...best move I ever made in my 30+ yrs of riding!

The more miles I put on this Valkryie the more I like what Honda did with this ride.

men know a good thing when they see it! :-)

The Valk' is a Sweet Handling Bike for 700 lbs +

I liked the smooth feel and power

Don't feel you have to ride what the next guy has or what comes out the day after you bought this bike.

Don't hit nothin'Don't let nothin hit you and Don't fall off

She's fast, furious and real tight in the curves.

Not that matters but even the Harley guys respect the Valk because it isn't a clone, it's in a class of it's own.

I did the Harley/Valk switch just about three weeks ago and am ABSOLUTELY delighted.

DON'T go out riding on you Valk if your in a bad mood and want to be alone. Everywhere you go, this bike draws a crowd.

even after over 40,000 miles on a Valk; I've found it to be the biggest grin factor producer of any bike I've ever ridden

Proud owner of Standard Black and Chrome Lady for 2 yrs. 14,000 miles (highway)with one tire change. Test drove Gold Wings but wanted more power and of course the "cruiser look" Simply put the best, most powerful bike I've ever owned!

Best motorcyles on the road by far. Does it all, from cruising and looking cool to long distance touring.

I've had mine for 6 months and have logged 6,000 miles, including 2, one thousand mile 3-day weekends. Can't get off her. Best, most responsive and smoothest bike I've had in 36 years of riding

It really doesn't get much better than this if you love cruising and touring. I know this bike was built to be a cruiser but it has plenty of comfort and has supported me in my 300-800 mile days very well. Has not had a single thing done other than sheduled maintenance. The Power? Well it had enough pull a BMW back up a cliff that went off on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Honda Hoot. Does extremley well in teh twisties of Arkansas. It does have one small problem - it doesn't like to park :)

I simply love it

Had rode Gold Wings Since 1978 and just got bored with them. But not a good replacement was out there then along came the Valk and Wow I fell in love. and its not boreing. Is this my last shot at youth?

After 46,000 trouble free miles I have to say it is not only the best American made motorcycle but the best cruiser made anywhere

The way the seemingly ponderous, heavy Valkyrie suddenly leaped forward with seamless, torquey power sold me on the bike immediately. The sheer mass of the thing just disappears when you twist the throttle. The handling, braking, comfort, reliability (just add gas and air, never burns oil), and even the looks (that mmmmmotor!) are terrific as well. I'm adding a supercharger for yet another level of performance, but as is, the Valkyrie is the best overall ride I've ever had the pleasure to experience.

i have ridden a number of bikes over the past four decades: nortons, bsas, hondas, suzukis, yamahas, harleys, and bmws. none of them has ever found the perfect balance of performance, style, comfort, sidewalk appeal and reliability of my 99 valkyrie tourer. (black of course). i can accelerate with all but the crotch rockets, handle with many of them, cruise with a style that is only touched by the harley, and reliability leaves the harley gang at the shop while i'm still on the road. ride the valkyrie last and you'll know what i mean. no WAY to go wrong.

The best all around bike I have ever owned. It is great for city crusing or highway touring. The best of both worlds. The Valkyrie has it all, looks, power, torque and a very unique sound. Truly the king of crusers.

5 Harley Davidsons, 1 Kawasaki ZX11, 1 Yamaha 1100 Maxim, 30 years in the saddle. by God I think I bought my last bike this bike rocks.

I don't want to reveal my true ID, to avoid excessive e-mails. I weigh @300 lbs.(used to play football with UF -now play pro), My 1998 Valkyrie it is by far the best bike I've owned. It is my 29th bike(2nd Valk). I've owned 6 harleys, 7 yamahas, 5 kawasaki's, 2 suzuki's, 8 other honda's and a husky dirt bike. I've never had any problems with most of the bikes i've owned, probably because i never kept them for more than a year. It fits my wife and I nicely, and gives me the best of all my desires; speed, accelleration, comfort, dependability, low maintenance, and good looks!!

This is my 17th m/c & I love it. 70-85mph all day long.I commute 100mi per day. The most bike for the buck.

This bike can do it all. You must give this bike a ride if you can. However, once you do, you'll be comitted to getting one! There's nothing else like it. Blows all others away, and the VRCC & VOA groups offer fabulous support for owners.... Join up!

Own a 1998, Black F6, this bike has no equal in the industry. Have over 15,000 mile on here, most of in in the Mountains of
